FRIENDS, i have no need for this untouched 2008 journal (sis bought it for me aww but i never used it). i know it’s more than halfway into the year but better late than never so tell me if you want this and i’ll pass it to you. and guys don’t be fooled by my flower bedsheets it is not a gay notebook. it has very useful and ungay calendar, week-to-week and notes pages inside.

i forgot to bring my yummy bitesized chocolate from home, shucks. but knocking off at 5 for dental with mum hooray. 2 and a half more hours of work reading christian sites and articles, making my nutri barley tea last till then, adding things to my list for this week, going to the toilet for nothing, talking to fellow bored interns. What’s struck me for today: that repetition, if purposeful and not mindless, is actually essential in prayer as a part of perseverance (i always thought any form of it was pretty much unecesssary /useless). Also, the meaning of the word “Jingoism”, and a nice line that reminds us to be careful to be aware of not just the “spectacular” but the “quiet evidences of grace to the individual that are less obvious” but of equally tremendous beauty (:

If i talked about this week and the last too I’d tell you all about the happy lunches and dinners I’ve had, or what we talked about, the silly things that made us laugh, the places i went to, or what i ate; i’d love to talk about Japanese food, and pumpkin soup. (: 5 weeks left of Internship at The Ascott – which isn’t that bad really, it’s been making me sit and read in quiet / make lists / think through things from all over during slack times. and also make greater effort to meet up with friends with x100 appreciation for the comforting familiarity of their faces and voices. glad too for time with people i rarely see. Good company really makes the day, i heart it many times over. (:

and so it goes this way doesn’t it; that it’s about the little lovely things that make up the big beautiful picture, and grace to take the place of missing pieces. and no not about perfection – it’s never been about that and never will be. But now i’m thinking that’s really okay, because if we didn’t know imperfection we wouldn’t know grace, which really is an amazing thing to know. and this is how i’ll walk on; flowers between toes and everything else in my biggest stride. i’m thankful, through and through and through.

im secretly blogging in office now hehheh. im so sleepy i resorted to making coffee machine coffee which i think is gross actually. omg the aunties are congregating by the side talking about bras? like whats up! either that or they talk about being fat how aunty can they get seriously haha nvm its entertainment for me

anw lois messaged me last night to say she got my camera. ?!?! i didn’t know whether to cheer or cry. all the heartache and worry for nothing. was scared shizz the whole week of telling dad i dreamt my teeth all fell out twice. which means u feel like ure losing control of ur present situation. ok now i typed that out it sounds cheesy. turned out he was amazingly nice and said i had taken “due care” and “can’t be helped buy a new one.” what relief. and best thing was he said he still owed me a 21st present. no he isn’t this easy going it’s out of the ordinary but who’s complaining NOT ME (:

oh and ultimate cheap thrill: i got to be on teeveeee. CNA. hahaha. for ushering in the minister of defence last fri for some business opening event here. only for 1 sec, told you it was cheap thrill. ok theyve stopped slacking i better stop here too
